A family reunion in a Canary Islands villa

Grandparents, cousins, children, partners — several days in one place. Planned so that nobody in the family spends them organising.

01 — Who it is for

For the family that is never in one place.

This is for families who live in different cities, often different countries, and want a few days together that are not squeezed between a wedding and a funeral. An anniversary of the grandparents, a birthday of the eldest, or simply the first time in years that everyone can come.

A reunion across three generations is a different kind of event. It lasts days rather than hours. The guest list runs from a toddler to someone who needs a ground-floor room and a shaded seat. The best moments are rarely the planned ones, but they only happen if the planned ones work: everyone arrives, sleeps well, eats well and is not asked to decide anything.

The Canary Islands make this easier than most places: flights from across Europe, mild weather in every season, and space. A large villa with a garden and a pool, or two houses side by side; days that can be busy or completely empty; an island that suits the family — lively Tenerife or Gran Canaria, or quieter Lanzarote, La Palma or La Gomera.

One person in the family talks to us. Everyone else just turns up.

02 — What we organise

Several days, one family.

Every reunion is built around the people in it. Most bring together:

The house

A villa chosen for the whole family: enough bedrooms, step-free rooms for those who need them, safe space for children, shade and a table long enough for everyone.

Arrivals

Flights from different cities matched to transfers, car seats where needed, and someone at the house when each family arrives.

Meals

A private chef for the big dinners, simpler food for the other days, menus that work for children, allergies and the people who will eat only what they know.

The days

A boat trip, a winery, a walk that the grandparents can manage, time at the beach — and days with nothing planned at all. Everything optional.

The main evening

One night that is the reason for the trip: speeches, music, a family photograph, a film of old pictures, whatever the family wants to remember.

The practical things

Shopping before you arrive, cleaning during the stay, babysitting for an adult dinner, a doctor’s number nobody hopes to need.

03 — How it works

Organised once, enjoyed by everyone.

01

We talk

With one person in the family, about who is coming, from where, for how long, and what each generation needs.

02

We compose it

One plan with the island, the house, arrivals, meals and the days, sent in a form that is easy to share with the rest of the family.

03

Everyone arrives

Rooms are ready, the fridge is full, the first dinner is on the table. During the stay, one contact handles anything that comes up.

04 — Questions

What people ask us first.

How many people can a villa reunion host?

It depends on the house. Some villas sleep a large family on their own; bigger groups often take two houses next to each other or a villa plus a nearby hotel. We find the arrangement that fits the numbers and keep everyone together for meals and the main evening.

Can you cater for grandparents and young children at the same time?

Yes — that is most of the work. We look for step-free rooms and short walks for older guests, safe outdoor space and early meals for children, and we plan the days so each generation has something and nobody has to do everything.

Which island is best for a family reunion?

Tenerife and Gran Canaria have the most flights and the widest choice of large villas. Lanzarote is calmer, with a distinctive volcanic landscape. La Palma and La Gomera suit families that want quiet above all, and usually mean a short connecting flight or ferry.

How long should a family reunion last?

Most families choose four to seven nights: long enough to settle in, with one main evening in the middle so late arrivals and early departures do not miss it.

Do we have to join every activity?

No. Activities are offered, not scheduled for everyone. Some of the family will be on a boat while others are at the pool, and that is part of the point.

How much does a family reunion in a villa cost?

Each one is quoted individually — the number of people, nights and the house decide most of it. Share those and an approximate investment, and we'll design to it and tell you honestly what it can achieve.
