Luxury events in Gran Canaria

Dunes and marinas in the south, a real city in the north, mountain villages in between. One island, three very different evenings.

01 — The island

A continent in miniature.

Gran Canaria is often called a continent in miniature, and for once the phrase holds. Within an hour you can go from the Maspalomas dunes to pine forest and the peaks around Roque Nublo, then down into Las Palmas — the largest city in the Canaries, with an old quarter, Vegueta, founded in 1478.

That range is what makes the island interesting for events. The south — Meloneras, Maspalomas, Mogán — is where the villas, the beach clubs and the most reliable sunshine are. The north offers what the rest of the archipelago can't: city restaurants, historic buildings and a cultural life of its own. The interior, around Santa Brígida, Tejeda and the Bandama caldera, has country estates and vineyards for a different kind of dinner altogether.

We're based in Tenerife, half an hour away by air, and plan Gran Canaria events the way we plan our own island: one conversation, one proposal, and local chefs, crews and venues we know by name.

02 — Where evenings happen

Six settings, one island.

Where we place an evening depends on the occasion and the season. The settings we return to most:

The south coast

Villas in Meloneras and the hills above Maspalomas, built for long evenings outdoors and sunsets over the dunes.

Puerto de Mogán

A small harbour of canals and bougainvillea, and a starting point for charters along the calm south-west coast.

Pasito Blanco

A private marina between Maspalomas and Arguineguín, for yachts and quiet arrivals by sea.

Las Palmas

Restaurant buyouts, rooftop terraces and historic spaces in Vegueta and Triana, for evenings with a city around them.

The interior

Estates and wineries around Santa Brígida and the Bandama caldera; long lunches among the pines near Tejeda.

Above the dunes

The Maspalomas dunes are a protected nature reserve, so we don't stage anything on them — we choose terraces that look out over them instead.

03 — Practicalities

Planned from Tenerife, run on the island.

Gran Canaria Airport has direct flights from most of Europe and handles private aviation, so for guests arriving that way we coordinate the aircraft's arrival with the transfers and the evening starts at the steps. From Tenerife, inter-island flights take around half an hour and the fast ferry from Santa Cruz to Agaete a little over an hour, which makes a trip across both islands straightforward.

The weather differs by coast. The south is drier and sunnier; the north can sit under low summer cloud that islanders call the panza de burro. We take it into account when deciding where an outdoor evening should happen — and every outdoor plan has a covered alternative.

04 — Questions

What people ask us first.

Do you organise events in Gran Canaria as well as Tenerife?

Yes. We plan private events across all seven Canary Islands. In Gran Canaria we work with local venues, chefs and crews, and our team travels to the island for site visits and for the event itself.

Where is best for a luxury event in Gran Canaria?

It depends on the evening. The south — Meloneras, Maspalomas, Mogán — suits villa parties, beach clubs and yacht charters. Las Palmas suits dinners in historic or city venues. The interior suits country estates, wineries and long lunches.

Can we have a yacht party in Gran Canaria?

Yes. Charters usually leave from Puerto de Mogán, Pasito Blanco or Puerto Rico and follow the south-west coast, the calmest side of the island, often with a swim stop and sunset on board.

Can you plan an event across two islands?

Often. Some groups spend a few days in Tenerife and end with an event in Gran Canaria, or the other way round. We arrange the inter-island travel and keep a single plan across both.

How far in advance should we plan?

Allow two to three months for most events, and more for large groups or peak dates. Because our team travels for site visits, an early conversation makes everything easier.
